Just as we thought the day couldn’t get more exciting, we had a very special camp cake for dessert at dinner, and it was amazing. After dinner, we had a magic show by Miles the Magician, and he had campers come up to volunteer and help him with his illusions. To end off our amazing New Years themed day, we had our very own “ball drop”. Each camper got a balloon and wrote a wish that they had on the balloon.  All the campers let go of their balloons and lit up the sky with all their balloons. It was such an amazing day and we are so excited to see what else is in store for the rest of the summer.

We can’t wait for another unbelievable session here in camp Simcha Special. We started off our first day with lots of dancing and Music. Each camper arrived, and was surrounded by dancing staff doing the 2018 Simcha Special song and dance. In between all the dancing and singing there was pottery making and swimming. The first day is going great, and we can’t wait for the day to keep getting better!

The moment we all been waiting for has finally come. Our Camp Simcha Special Campers are arriving and we are all so excited to welcome them into the new (camp) year. There is tons of energy, glitter, and tutus here, and we cannot wait for everyone to come!

The Camp Simcha Special staff have been excitedly preparing for camp and are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their campers. The staff have been enjoying their two days of orientation, all leading up to the campers arrivals. They can’t wait to make memories and loving friendships to last not for only the summer, but for the rest of their lives!

Simcha’s Got the Magic

After a fun bug themed day, the second half of the day was Minnie Mouse day. Everyone was dressed as Minnie or Mickey Mouse, and went to the dining room for an end of the summer banquet where we enjoyed a delicious dinner. After we watched the camp video made by our amazingly talented media team. We ended the day with a slide show and fireworks. We are so excited for next summer!

Simcha Graduation 2017

Lunch today was like no ordinary day in Camp Simcha. Today, we had our very own graduation for 8 of the campers here, who will no longer be campers in Camp Simcha. We watched an inspiring video with messages from all of them. We wish all of them all the best and are so proud of them.

It’s a Bug’s Life in Camp Simcha Special (for half of the day) today. The dining room is disguised as a forest, and everyone is dressed as all different types of bugs. An ice cream truck came to camp, and everyone enjoyed yummy ice cream. There is a bug scavenger hunt, and final workshops for everyone to finish their projects. We are all “bugging” out that today is our last day!

 

Shabbat Shalom From Camp Simcha Special

Our last Shabbat in Camp Simcha Special was incredible. Some of our campers spoke at the meals, and inspired everyone. There was a hilarious Shabbat play performed by the campers followed by bingo. A magician came and did cool tricks and mind reading on the campers. We ended the day with a choir, and an ice cream party. We cannot believe it was the last Shabbat, and are so sad camp is coming to an end.

Bubble Mania

Friday was a “splashing” success, we had our Camp Simcha Special bubble run for Splash Mountain day. All the campers ran into colored bubbles and played in foam pits filled with. After everyone showered for Shabbat, they went to the Simcha Spa where they got their hair, nails and makeup done. Everyone looked so beautiful for the last Shabbat in Camp Simcha Special.
