Good morning camp Simcha Special! Today our campers and counselors woke up with their heads in the sky because we were flown out to Outer space. In the middle of the night. Seriously, the whole dining room was swarming with aliens and astronauts. There were glow in the dark stars & moons. Some of us honestly thought we were up in the sky. And those who were not thoroughly convinced were treated to a helicopter ride! Yes, our campers got to go 1000 feet up in the sky to see our camp as a dot on the ground. Many campers were thrilled because this was their very first time on a helicopter. It was, in a word, “awesome.” While not up and out in the sky, campers enjoyed various workshops including pottery, candle making, mosaics, and baking. That’s the update so far today, and we only just finished lunch! Welcome to Camp Simcha Special!! We’re looking forward to another exciting year at the place where anything can happen…just use your IMAGINATION! And can you guess what theme we chose for this year?

Yes, this year Camp Simcha Special will be taking our girls on an incredible ride, letting them experience everything and anything from both within and beyond their wildest imagination…

Today our campers were welcomed to camp by the most famous, most iconic, most fantabulous imagineers: our very own Disney princesses and characters including Mickey, Minnie, Peter Pan, Goofy, and Pluto. Each camper was greeted with a professionally choreographed musical show directed by our very own Camp Simcha Special Staff.

After a delicious lunch & dinner, Camp Simcha Special got down to one of our most favorite pastimes: DANCING! Our dining room was pumping with campers and counselors dancing to the beat. The excitement was palpable and is surely a prelude to the many days of excitement that our campers will have this summer.

An end to a most perfect arrival day at Camp Simcha Special came in the form of an impossibly amazing acrobatics group  from Africa that wowed our campers with their tricks, flips, and antics. After the show, some campers went to lounge in our canteen area, some went to have some fun in the game room, and others opted to get some rest to get ready for another packed, exciting, and fantabulous day in CAMP SIMCHA SPECIAL!
