Simcha Magic: Feel It In The Air!
With candle making, baking, mad science and escape the room, we had a great start to a day. Mainstages came to Camp Simcha Special for a special activity . They put on a mystery performance that made all the campers the detectives. When the performance was over they broke out that it was field day in Camp Simcha! Each division found out who their team captains were, and their colors. Can’t wait for a super field day!
BOO! It is Tower of Terror day here in Camp Simcha Special. Everyone is dressed up in spooky costumes, and the dining room is disguised as a haunted house. Tonight we will be having our very own Camp Simcha Special Dancing With the Stars, and everyone is practicing for their performances. We have a fun packed day in Camp Simcha with many activities and workshops!
3,2,1 blastoff… Today we made our very own galaxy shirts, experiencing a virtual planetarium, and had some workshops like pottery, candle making,lego mindstorm and more. We rocked the house with Avraham Fried which was an amazing way to end the day. The older division had night swim in the pool, and a few workshops. What a great day in the Camp Simcha Special galaxy.
One small step for man, one big step for Camp Simcha Special! Welcome to Space Mountain day at the best camp in the galaxy.We started off the day with an “out of this world” breakfast for champions where we enjoyed smoothies, pancakes, waffles, and omelets. The dining room was decorated as a planet with stars, aliens and space ships. There was an early morning pottery activity, and so much more activities going on throughout the day
.
Although the sun might be setting, we are still lighting things up as we head to night activity. We had our own version of Family Feud, also known as “Simcha Feud” because there is no family like our Simcha Special family. And even as the buzzers go down, we continue on to late night workshops such as canvas painting and soap making. And then we start to wrap the night up with going to the canteen. The staff got the pleasure of hearing from Judge Butler before we call it a night with excitement to what awaits us tomorrow.
What an incredible day we’ve had filled with, archery, swimming, boat rides, candle making and activities galore. Lunch included special treats such as candy apples, apple crumble, apple cider, and apple bobbing for us to try out. With all the princesses and dwarves roaming the camp you could really feel the magic of camp simcha in the air. We cannot wait for tomorrow’s Galaxy themed day, it’s going to be out of this world!
Hi Ho it’s off to Simcha Special we go! Today’s Snow White theme is the perfect following to our amazing Shabbat. We got to meet a real life princess like inspiration Lindsay Hilton who inspired us with her athletic journey despite being born without hands and feet. Our gem hunt has sent us out and about camp to see which division can find the most. There is so much more in store for today like archery, soap making, chocomania, ropes courses and we just can’t wait!
The first Shabbat in Camp Simcha Special’s Magic Kingdom was incredible. Before Shabbat, all the campers got “glammed up” in our new braids workshop. We enjoyed our weekly Shabbat bingo game where all the winners chose prizes, and there was a special prayer service lead by one of our campers. An Ice cream party was served, and after Shabbat we sang and danced. It was so much fun!
Welcome to Simcha Special’s Magic Kingdom! Yesterday’s arrival were unbelievably amazing and seeing our friends again were definitely a highlight. This morning’s Toy Story Mania was the perfect first day kick off. Our gorgeous dining room was decorated in Toy Story theme as our campers roamed disguised as aliens, Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, and their favorite toys. We cannot wait to see what’s in store!
Camp Simcha Special is here! Our amazing staff welcomed all the campers in our Magic Kingdom with cheering and dancing. Minnie, Mickey and the gang walked around camp, and met all the campers. We had a hilarious improv night activity by the Freestyle Repertory Theater. We ended the night with a magical parade with many Disney characters, and cool electrical lights. Camp Simcha Special is off to a great start!
