Welcome to the haunted mansion at Camp Simcha! Our tower of terror theme kicked off this morning with spooky decorations in the dining room and cob webs (fake of course), skeletons, witches, and spiders crawling around. Our campers joined in on the creepy fun dressed as vampires, scary dolls, and prisoners. We’ve got a loaded day today filled with amazing activities, a carnival, and our annual deal day!

Dancing With the Stars
Tonight’s Dancing with the Stars was the perfect end to an amazing intergalactic day. After some space trivia and an awesome dinner we all headed down to the Social Hall to watch our friends perform all different genres of dance in competition for the Mirror Ball trophy. Ultimately Alana won the grand prize after her animated performance and stellar dance movies. Watching the prep videos, the actual performances, and post-dance interviews made for a hysterical, exciting, talent filled, and spirited night!
Fun Is In the Air!
What a wonderful day we’ve had so far! Finally getting in routine with our activities schedule has been so exciting. From boat rides to Sweet Shoppe to special activities of the day like Cosmic IQ and decorating Galaxy Shirts it has been action packed. It has been so wonderful just being in camp and soaking up the magic in the air. We are so pumped for tonights Star Gazing and Dancing with the Stars!
Over the Moon on Day 2!
Sports, Swim, Glass Infusion, Pottery, Ropes Course, and Arts and Crafts this morning sent us over the moon with excitement and fun. At lunch we each received our very own NASA gift boxes filled with candy asteroids, chocolate moon rocks, rock candy, and space themed toys. After lunch we got to have an awesome dance party and witness the unbelievable dancing talents of Shayna (she even taught us some of her moves!)
Out of This World Morning
In a galaxy far far away… In Glen Spey, New York, Day 2 at Camp Simcha opened their Space Mountain theme with the dining room disguised as outer space. Floating around the dining room were astronauts, aliens, stars, Star Wars characters, and more who were really our amazing campers and staff. We are looking forward to an “out of this world” day.
Simcha Tumblers
As the first day comes to a close, we cannot believe the fun we’ve had! We got to end the day with the magic of the Chicago Boyz Acrobatics. We watched them flip over each other and even over some campers which was a wildly exciting and a perfect way to end the day.
So Much Fun on Day 1
Day 1 at Camp Simcha is off to an amazing start. We had a unique opportunity to see all the wonderful activities camp has to offer at the first-ever activities fair. We tried out painting, chocolate making, Zumba and plenty more. Shine a Little Light kicked off with learning an amazing new song. Our first activities have begun after a delicious pizza lunch and we cannot wait for more!

Kicking Off Toy Story Mania
The huge crayons, legos, and life sized props ,made the toy story theme come to life. Everyone arrived at breakfast decked out in amazing toy story themed costumes. From Barbie to Buzz Lightyear, smiles were on everyones faces.
Night Activity!
Welcome to all of our campers!! After all the arrivals we had a fun game of Simon says with Steve Max. The night ended with Camp Simcha’s Magical electric parade. We can’t wait for tomorrow to have our first full day in Camp Simcha!!
