In honor of today being “Pesach”, Camp Simcha Special had its own version of the 10 Makot. There was an ice bath, fruit punch pool, lice check, and a lot of shaving cream. Let’s just say things got messy. For night activity, the Twins From France came and put on an amazing show. They juggled fire, walked on stilts, and performed many more fun tricks. It was another amazing day in Camp Simcha Special.

 

It’s Pesach Day in Camp Simcha Special today. The dining room is disguised as a scene from Egypt with pyramids, Egyptians and more. For breakfast we had breakfast by the fire pit to “burn all our chametz”. We have a lot of activities in store for today. Stay Tuned.

When I say Tour de you say Simcha!!! What an amazing day it was today as we welcomed all the Tourde Simcha riders. We greeted them all with a ton of signing and dancing. Some of our campers performed songs and dances that they made for all the bikers. After we enjoyed a BBQ and a fun trampoline show for night activity.

Happy Chanukah from Camp Simcha Special! Today is Chanukah day, and the dining room is disguised as a giant window with Menorahs in it. Everyone is wearing different Chanukah themed clothing like donuts, dreidels and latkes. For lunch we decorated donuts and fried latkes. We are all preparing for our Tourde Simcha bikers to come so we can greet them.

What an eventful day it was today in Camp Simcha Special. In honor of “Thanksgiving” Elizabeth Kurtz came in with her daughter Ella and taught us all how to make delicious side dishes for our “Thanksgiving” feast. The campers also made Turkey with Chef Shlomo. For dinner the whole camp enjoyed a delicious feast made by all our campers. After dinner Avraham Fried came to Camp Simcha Special for his 25th year! To thank Avraham Fried for coming all these years, all the campers made him thank you signs, and his whole family came to watch his concert. Benny Friedman came as well and together with Avraham Fried, they really brought the house down.

 

Today is Hakaras Hatov (Thankful) day. The dining room looks like a Thanksgiving parade with pumpkins, pilgrims and turkeys. It looks amazing. Everyone is dressed as something thanksgiving or thank you related. There are lots of specialty activities today, and we cannot wait to see what surprises are in store.

Night activity, are you ready 123! For our awesome night activity we had Make a Deal. Campers got on stage and were made tricky deals for prizes and money. Everyone who went on stage won a prize from a polaroid camera to bubbles, it was all depended on the deal you made.

All day the camp Simcha Special campers and staff have been preparing and practicing for the annual talent show. Everyone who performed was amazing! There was singing, dancing, poetry, gymnastics and more. All the campers are so talented.

 

It’s everybody’s lucky day in Camp Simcha Special today. Everyone is dressed in lucky costumes like rainbows, unicorns, money, and more. The dining room is decorated with a huge rainbow and lots of money. There will be raffles going on all day for everyone to become a luck winner.

What an incredible first Shabbat in Camp Simcha Special! There were multiple campers who got up in front of the whole camp and spoke about themselves, and inspired everyone. We had a special show by David Blatt who is a mentalist and did crazy tricks that left us all mind blown. We all enjoyed yummy snacks from the canteen, and bingo where everyone won awesome prizes. After Shabbat we had Aviva playing on the piano, lots of dancing and of course, food.
