Kids came in costume to the Toronto Purim Carnival where they had fun while moon bouncing, munching yummy snacks, slurping Slurpees, getting sticky with cotton candy, and winning great prizes. Everyone went home with their own personalized picture T-shirts. Many thanks to GROW Toronto and our volunteers for giving over 150 sick children and their families such an amazing time.

50 members of the Chai Lifeline family attended last night’s Blue Man Group PUT IN Performance. This full length show is a training process for new Blue Man Group performers, and these “PUT IN” performances are an opportunity for them to work in front of a live theatre audience. A great big “thank you very much” once again to their company manager.

Kids had a blast at the Purim World Carnival Celebration in LA this week! Each child received a passport and traveled the world to places such as Africa, Australia, Antarctica, China, Italy, France, Mexico, Costa Rica, Brazil, and the good ol’ USA. Each destination had games and lots of prizes. Galit the Clown entertained the crowd with fabulous balloon animals and families were treated to international treats and lots of Hamantaschen. Special thanks to our wonderful volunteers from Bais Yaakov High School who made this party extra special and fun for everyone.

The Maccabeats gave back to the community when they surprised campers with private performances in Baltimore, MD & delighted a group of kids at their NY concert. Thank you Maccabeats for your continued generosity and love for the children of Chai Lifeline!
Campers and their counselors spent a beautiful weekend together hosted by the Farbman family. Friday night Oneg was full of singing and an inspirational talk by Chava Willig-Levy. The community joined us for a beautiful Shalosh Seudot. Saturday night featured a carnival in Congregation Aish Kodesh prepared by students of TMM High School.

Three months after chemotherapy, 19 year old Binyamin Zwickler plans on running the Jerusalem Marathon.
It’s been a long year for nineteen year old Binyamin Zwickler. It started with the diagnosis of cancer, and it will end with the running of the Jerusalem Marathon.
Ten months ago, right after he finished high school in New York, all of Binyamin’s plans for life after school were suddenly put on pause, when he was diagnosed with Epithelioid Sarcoma.
Zwickler decided to run the Jerusalem Marathon to raise money for the organization Chai Lifeline. Chai Lifeline is the international children’s health support organization that provides crucial emotional, social, and financial assistance to seriously ill children, their families, and communities. Anyone interested in finding out more should go to their website.
