One word: Insane. That is the one word that best describes today. Today was one of the most action packed exciting days so far this summer and if you’ve been reading this blog than you know that means alot….So down to business.
Today was Willy Wonka/The Wizard of Oz day so as is typical of such a theme day the Tin Woodman was noticed hanging out with a group of Oompa Loompas (we all know how they slack off at the chocolate factory). After the typical morning activities (Fencing,Rocketry…you know the drill) we had lunch and than the Tardasim went on their annual mini-trip to Walmart and TJ Max (because we all know the joys of shopping at Superstores). Of course the rest of camp had awesome activities to(in the spirit of the day there was a willy wonka/wizard of oz candy activity).
After supper we had an amazing special activity which turned out to be an IMPROV MUSICAL our amazing staff performed an entire musical without any rehearsals(But with some guidance from Duvi)!!!! This musical entitled “The Very Scary Witch”. This classic Simcha production takes its inspiration from the L. Frank Baum classic “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” (I suspect it was also inspired by other classic performances such as Newsies, The Lion King,Wicked ,and Dembi). Upon reaching the happy ending of aforesaid musical, Luke and Benji got up on stage and sang a very moving duet (several members of the audience were brought close to tears). And for the final activity of the night we learned a flashmob which we may or may not be performing at Six Flags tomorrow (Did I mention we were going to Six Flags tomorrow?).
