Good Morning! Today is Pi(e) Day at Camp Simcha. We cant wait to see what today brings, especially “pie your counselor” which will take place after lunch!
Purim
What an action packed day at Camp Simcha. The day kicked off with a jaw dropping magic performance by Ilan Smith. Lunch was filled with singing and dancing as the Purim spirit took over. As the music quieted down, cars and Camp Simcha alumni started flooding in for Alumni day. Alumni were greeted to our spectacular carnival and circus. Happy smiles were seen all round as the smell of cotton candy and popcorn filled the air…. Yum!!!! Following the circus was a scrumptious BBQ. As the alumni started to leave and it seemed like the day was winding down, Camp Simcha was privileged to have a surprise concert by world renowned, singing sensation, Simcha Leiner. Not a bad day to end of an incredible day! we cant wait to see whats in store for tomorrow…….
First Shabbat
wow, its hard to believe that Shabbat has come and gone!!! From the dancing during Kabbalat Shabbat all the way through to our special Seuda Shlishit singing together on the porch. we were treated to a special illusionist show by Ilan Smith who had the whole camp enthralled. We’re super excited for what’s in store for the upcoming week!
Welcome to Camp Simcha Special 2018!
Welcome to Camp Simcha Special 2018! Camp has finally arrived!
A big welcome to all of our campers, new and old. Today was crazy! The campers started arriving in the afternoon, hopping off the bus straight into the fog tunnel where our wonderful staff members were waiting to greet them. Coming out of the tunnel, the campers joined the staff in a non-stop dance party hosted by our very own DJ Hudacris. Everyone was dressed up in crazy costumes. With superheroes, cartoon characters, clowns, and even an astronaut, the party was rocking! Afterwards, we ate dinner and then went to see our first show of the summer. Chuck the ventriloquist kept us all entertained with his funny puppets and his rendition of supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! Campers even got to go up to become puppets and we had quite a few laughs.
Stay tuned for more to follow!

Farewell
Wow! What an amazing way to end off our summer! We had a spectacular banquet dinner with all of our favorite delicacies. After, we went to the social hall to watch the end of the summer video that our media team worked day and night on. To end off our night, we cuddled under a tent by the tennis court and watched an emotional slideshow while waving glow sticks in the air. What an incredible summer it was in Camp Simcha 2018!
Happy Chanukah!
It’s the final day and we’re celebrating Chanukah! The dining room is decorated with dreidels, gelt and presents galore! Four of our campers performed their original songs by breakfast, starting off the day with a bang. We’re looking forward to an eventful day climaxed with our annual farewell banquet.
Happy Pesach!
In honor of today being Pesach, we played “Slice” in which campers and counselors were instructed to make Pesach-themed dishes. Evidently, some dishes looked a lot more appetizing than others, but everyone had a blast… even the judges who had to eat them! We also had our pre-Pesach car washes which, of course, evolved into an Israel vs. USA water fight! Later in the day, we got into the Shabbat spirit with challah baking. We are filled with both excitement and emotion going into our final shabbat in Camp Simcha. Shabbat Shalom from Camp Simcha!
Swinter Wonderland
It was Canada day in Camp Simcha and we had a blast! Campers and counselors enjoyed a giant bath filled with genuine-looking snow which had the texture of applesauce! For night activity, Pogo Fred performed unbelievable tricks on different sized pogo sticks for us. Later, the staff were treated with sushi, churros and ice cream as a token of appreciation for all the amazing work they do.
