It’s May 4th here in camp Simcha and that means it’s Star Wars day! The dining room is filled with Star Wars decorations such as hanging light sabers and Jedi’s. At breakfast, many campers enjoyed play fighting with light sabers which were hand crafted from pool noodles. Looking forward to another action-packed day here in Camp Simcha!
Camp Simcha for the Win!
What a marvelous day here in Camp Simcha! At lunch, every camper had a chance to slam pie into his counselor’s face! Following lunch, many campers and counselors jumped into the lake to remove the pie from their faces. Each division got a chance to compete in a game called “Slam” in which they were forced to make a dish out of mystery ingredients and each received a score from our own “professional” judges. Later, everyone gathered in the dining room for Brady’s Bar Mitzvah. He delivered a beautiful and inspiring speech which was followed by tons of dancing. The high flying trampoline jumpers from Xtreme Team performed for us by night activity. To cap off an already spectacular day… history was made tonight in Camp Simcha! The Camp Simcha basketball team won its first game ever, defeating Morasha in an exciting nail biter, which ended in a 70-67 score.
Pie Day!
Howdy y’all! It’s national pi(e) day in Camp Simcha! The dining room stage is backdropped with pink checkered wallpaper and there is a big blue tarp on the floor ready to catch all the pie that doesn’t stay on the counselors’ faces today! Catch y’all later!
First Shabbat
Wow! What an incredible and inspiring Shabbat! Before Shabbat, campers and counselors suited up and put on their best smiles for pictures. Friday night consisted of tons of singing and dancing and the entire camp got up and performed a dance in front of all the visiting families- it was awesome! We enjoyed our weekly Shabbat bingo game where all the winners were awarded amazing prizes. We’re super excited for what’s in store for the upcoming week! 
Happy Purim!
Today was Purim in Camp Simcha and it was hard not to smile! Campers and staff members wore their favorite costumes and the dining room was covered in masks and other cool Purim decorations. The entire camp danced in the dining room by lunch and many campers even got up on stage and showed off some of their cool dance moves! Our campers also enjoyed pre-Shabbat challah baking, which resulted in some beautiful looking challahs and tons of mess! Shabbat shalom from Camp Simcha! 
Let’s Make a Deal!
What a night activity! Following an incredible tailgating barbecue, the entire camp gathered in the social hall for a suspenseful and enjoyable game of “Let’s Make a Deal”. Campers were called up to the stage and were awarded with all sorts of prizes! In classic “Let’s Make a Deal” fashion, some campers were much more successful than others, but everyone had a blast! It was the perfect end to a fantastic day here in camp Simcha! 
Super Bowl Commercials
What would a Super Bowl be without the Super Bowl commercials? Campers and staff members of each division had a blast creating their own Super Bowl commercials which will be displayed tonight for the entire camp to watch! Campers also enjoyed a thrilling helicopter lift which gave them a birds eye view of the beautiful camp grounds!
“Super Bowl Sunday”
It’s Super Bowl Sunday here in Camp Simcha! The dining room has been transformed into a mini football field complete with goal posts, concession stands and tons of football paraphernalia – it looks just like the real thing! The energy at breakfast definitely resembled the electrifying energy of a Super Bowl stadium and we cannot wait for the big game! Go team Simcha!
Arrivals have begun!
Our awesome campers have arrived and Camp Simcha 2018 is in full swing! Each camper entered through a tunnel and was warmly greeted by swarms of singing, dancing counselors and staff. Afterwards, each camper bravely got up on stage and led a chant which the entire camp echoed at full volume! The session has kicked off in classic Camp Simcha style and we can’t wait for every exciting moment that we have in store for our amazing campers.
Anticipating camper arrivals
Only a few more hours until camper arrivals! The Camp Simcha Staff arrived yesterday for orientation and are now fully prepared and anxiously awaiting their camper arrivals. We can’t wait to make memories and loving friendships that last not only for this summer, but for the rest of our lives!
