Simcha Magic: Feel It In The Air!
Here’s wishing the entire Camp Simcha family a Happy Hanukkah! Yesterday, our New York region’s families, volunteers, and staff enjoyed an amazing afternoon of Hanukkah celebration.
Delicious dinner, crafts, and a spectacular concert featuring Michoel Pruzansky, Eli Gerstner, The Yeshiva Boys Choir, and Mezamrim were enjoyed by all.
Each child went home with fabulous Hanukkah presents.

Anny, one of our very own Camp Simcha campers, is hoping to raise several thousand dollars for Chai Lifeline through an ambitious Bat Mitzvah project.
Having divided her time in recent months between chemotherapy treatments, summers at Camp Simcha and other Chai Lifeline event’s, Anny elected to undertake a project that would benefit other children who are dealing with cancer.
“Anny is so grateful for the support she has received from Chai Lifeline that she embarked on a project entitled ‘Anny Sings for Chai Lifeline,’” reported Mrs. Safier.
“Anny has an incredible voice and perfect pitch,” said Mrs. Safier. “She also does harmonies on the CD and is the only voice heard on the album.”
Proceeds from the album, which is being sold for a suggested minimum donation of $10, will benefit Chai Lifeline. Anny’s original goal was to raise $5,000 for Chai Lifeline, but in the aftermath of the fire that struck Camp Simcha, the pre-teen has set her sights on a specific target: helping the camp rebuild the two buildings that were destroyed in the blaze.
Copies of the album are currently available online at
annysingsforchailifeline@gmail.com, at the Rosenbaum Yeshiva of New Jersey in River Edge, The Frisch School and Yeshivat Noam, both located in Paramus.

Dear Camp Simcha Family,
May the new year bring you health, hope, and happiness!

Shaina and Shana came all the way from Australia to Camp Simcha. Listen to what they have to say about camp!
It was 5:30 AM on Shabbat morning when a fire broke out in Bunkhouse 5-6. When the counselors smelled smoke, the bunkhouses were evacuated immediately and efficiently.
Thank G-d no one was harmed in any way. Bunkhouse 5-6 has been moved to another beautifully decorated bunk, and the campers are already settled in with everything they need. Camp continues as scheduled, and we can’t wait for the next couple of fun-filled days in Camp Simcha!
HUH? Did we mean to dial this far back in our time machines?? Well, the stone age has been awesome to us so far, so the unanimous decision has been to stay for the day. Following a good night’s sleep after yesterday’s excitement, the campers arrived in the dining hall for breakfast to a dining hall that had magically transformed overnight. Boulders, stone fire pits, bones (no humans or animals were harmed in the decorating of the dining room) and talking, walking, real life Flint Stones characters. Welcome to Camp Simcha! After a delicious breakfast, we all gathered by the fire pit and made introductions. We cheered, we sang, and made sure to provide each Camp Simcha camper with a warm, energized welcome. There are plenty of special activities scheduled for the day, so make sure to stay tuned for more updates throughout today! So far Camp Simcha is off to a fun, super energized, incredible, MAMMOTH start.

Picture 150 pumped up girls at a crazy dance party. Multiple that energy by a gazillion, and that should give you a glimpse of the energy here at Camp Simcha as we rocked out with arriving campers. It involved a lot of cheering, singing and all-out intense dancing. Decked out in wacky headgear and crazy costumes, the staff danced up a storm. Psychedelic colors everywhere. Intense booming music. Pink fluffy cotton candy and freshly popped popcorn. Mass flashmob-esque spinning on the grass to welcome the busses. Exploding energy. Welcome all Camp Simcha campers – you rock!
